Book launch: A European Just Transition for a Better World
Join us for drinks and discussion at the UK launch of our new book, 'A European Just Transition for a Better World', at Bookmarks bookshop.
Published in 2022, 'A European Just Transition for a Better World' explores the task of transforming from an extractive economy to a regenerative one in a just and equitable way. In the words of Dirk Holemans, co-President of the Green European Foundation and the book's editor, the just transition marks "the meeting of necessity and ethics".
Chair: Natalie Bennett, former Green Party leader
Speakers include:
- Dirk Holemans, coordinator of Oikos think tank and Co-President of the Green European Foundation
- Joaquín Nieto, former Director of the ILO Office for Spain (on the Spanish experience of just transition)
- Sean Currie, co-Spokesperson for the Federation of Young European Greens (youth perspectives on climate justice)
- Anne Chapman, Green House (on a just transition in agriculture)
Drinks will be served from 5.30pm and the discussion will begin at 6.30pm, followed by a Q&A until 8pm.
